Ana Mba

 

Born in 1990, she finished her studies of Middle Grade at the "Professional Conservatory of Music of Murcia" with Antonio Clares, with honours and distinction for viola and chamber Music. She continued her studies with Ashan Pillai at the “Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya”, with Ulrich Knörzer at the "Universität der Künste" in Berlin, and with Pauline Sachse at the "Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler" in Berlin, where she finished her Master studies with Tabea Zimmermann. 

 

 She has studied chamber music with Casals Quartet, Artemis Quartet, Shirley Brill, Wayne Foster-Smith and Jonathan Aner, among others. 

 

 She has been awarded in competitions such as the Extraordinary Prize "End of Middle Grade", 1. Prize "Entre Cuerdas y Metales" (2007), 1. Prize "Villa de Molina" (2008), 1. Contest Prize "Ciudad de Murcia" (2009), 1. Prize "Concours Franco-Ibérique des Jeunes Altistes" Award (Perpignan, 2012) and "Bari International Music Festival Price" (Bari, 2013), which gave her the opportunity to perform at the "Bari International Music Festival" with artists such as Ettore Causa (Professor Yale University), among others. 

 

 Her orchestral experience has been developed with orchestras such as the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, Schleswig-Holstein Orchestral Academy, Jonde, Rundfunk Sinfonie- Orchester Berlin, Deutsche Kammerorchester Berlin, Orquesta Nacional de España and Deutsche Oper Berlin, participating in tours of Europe and the USA and performing in halls such as "Philharmonie" in Berlin, "Carnegie Hall", "Lincoln Center", "Musikverein", among others. 

 

 She has been awarded with scholarships by various foundations, such as "Alexander von Humboldt Stiftung Foundation", (Berlin, 2012), "Juventudes Musicales de Madrid", (Madrid, 2014), and "Galindo Foundation" (Murcia, 2013-2015). 

 

 She is currently a permanent member of the "Orquesta de la Comunidad Valenciana", at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía.
